25th Anniversary Photo Shoot by the Seine River, Paris

Hey there, friends! Hope you’re all hanging in there and staying safe.

Since I’m not shooting couples photography in Paris right now due to the coronavirus, I’ve been spending time going through my archives.

Does anyone else have more photos than they ever seem to know what to do with? Sometimes it feels like a never-ending pile I can’t get on top of, if we’re being honest (should have seen that coming when I decided to become a full-time photographer!), but right now it just feels like a joy. There are so many beautiful memories and so much nostalgia wrapped up in every photo that I have.

I’ve been continuing to post new-to-Instagram pictures from my archive over on @yourparismoment. While looking for photos to feature, I found myself reminiscing over a mini-session I shot with Ruschelle and Derrick.

They traveled to Paris together just before Christmas, and I was thrilled to help them celebrate their 25th anniversary with a photo shoot!

I posted one of these photos to Instagram earlier this week… But what’s one photo when you can feature several on your blog, amiright? So I pulled a few extra photos from the archive for your enjoyment today! I just love the way these two look at each other and hold each other. You can just see what kind of a partnership they have!

Anniversary photo shoots are some of my favorites, because the love that couples like Ruschelle and Derrick share and continue to nurture is practically contagious. I loved getting to hear about their relationship—after 25 years together, you can bet they had a lot to say!

Ruschelle and Derrick, thank you both again for such a wonderful December day, and for sharing your 25th anniversary with me! Hope to see you both back in Paris before too long, and I hope these photos bring you as much joy as they’ve been bringing me this week!
