Pastel Suits and Wedding Vows at the Eiffel Tower: An Early-Morning Gay Elopement in Paris

I’m so excited to share Dan & Michael’s beautiful Paris elopement at the Eiffel Tower. This pastel-toned gay elopement was filled with love, style, and joyful moments!

Dan and Michael arrived at the Eiffel Tower early in the morning to exchange their vows. In the quiet of the morning, we had the area practically to ourselves. It was just the two grooms, their photographer (that’s me!), their officiant Michelle, and the Grande Dame herself. Drawing on midcentury modern vibes for their styling, the grooms wore complementary suits. Dan looked dashing in a pink suit with a gorgeous bouquet of peonies, and Michael rocked a muted green ensemble and a boutonniere.

After an intimate ceremony, they exchanged beautiful vows and rings, and then—what else—popped a bottle of (nonalcoholic) Champagne!

But the magic didn’t stop there. As we were about to leave their ceremony spot, a rare phenomenon occurred: an upside-down, sunny-day rainbow called a Circumzenithal arc appeared out of nowhere! It was an incredible sight that added an extra touch of enchantment to the morning.

We made our way to Place du Trocadero for some post-ceremony portraits, and then headed to a nearby Parisian cafe for a romantic elopement breakfast! The atmosphere was relaxed and joyful as Dan and Michael toasted to their new beginning for the second time that morning—but this time with coffee and tea. I loved capturing these candid moments for them (including a few rainbow Instax photos to add to their collection!) and am so honored to have been able to witness and document the beginning of their marriage together.
