Backstage at Paris Fashion Week: The SS20 Flying Solo Show
Paris Fashion Week is here again! Phew—sometimes it feels like fashion week is every other week, it comes around so fast!
(SS20 stands for Spring/Summer 2020, by the way! We’re starting on AW20 or FW20 now: Autumn/Winter or Fall/Winter 2020.)
I’m starting my Paris Fashion Week photography schedule this time around with a showroom on Wednesday. I’m excited!
You know what, though? Every fashion week, I take so many photos. I share them on Instagram (mostly in my stories—check in if you’re interested!) and of course I send galleries off to the designers, models, PR people, agencies, etc. where applicable. But, somehow, amazingly, the photos never seem to make it to my blog!
We’re changing that today, friends.
Today, I’m sharing a selection of my favorite images from behind the scenes of the SS20 Flying Solo Show.
That’s right, we’re going behind the curtain here! Who needs the front of the house when you could have the back, amiright?
(Don’t worry, I’m sort of mostly kind of kidding… and I’ll make sure to post some runway for you down the line, too!)
Flying Solo is a New York-based collective of independent fashion designers. For Paris Fashion Week, they come together to put on one big, eclectic show. And they’ve got a huge range of styles and looks!
All the outfit changes mean that it’s bustling backstage, which makes for a really fun and high-energy atmosphere to shoot in.
It always amazes me to see the number of people and the amount of work, passion, and sweat that goes into pulling something like this off. Hats off to all the designers, manufacturers, models, hair and makeup artists, photographers, videographers, etc. etc. who were involved with this show! I’m so glad I had the chance to be a part of it.
Without further ado, and just in time for a whole new season’s worth of Paris Fashion Week content to barge right in, here’s a behind-the-scenes peek at this show for you:
