Profit donating updates for the print shop’s first month, and a virtual hug
Hi friends. I hope you are all hanging in there as best as you can amidst the news about more racist violence in Kenosha, as well as the hurricanes and fires and continued presence of COVID-19. It’s… a lot, and I’m sending you all a bigggg hug, first and foremost.
My print shop launched about 2 and a half weeks ago now, and if you’ll remember I’m planning to donate all the profits from the first month to charity. (See my shop launch announcement or my shop FAQs if you want a refresher.) So I wanted to give you some updates.
First of all, I just did the math on those first 2+ weeks of sales to figure out what the profit is so far, and, um, we’re over $500!!!
All the money raised so far will be going to The Loveland Foundation, whose therapy fund provides access to therapy for Black women and girls.
I’m going to continue directing profits from purchases to the Loveland Foundation until Monday. Then, I will be switching it over to The Movement for Black Lives.
The Movement for Black Lives is an association of 150+ Black organizations across the US. They do a lot of planning, organizing, and mobilizing, and their fund goes to support the areas of greatest need at any given time. I’m really excited to support them.
So! If you’ve been thinking about buying a print and you want the profits from your purchase to go to The Loveland Foundation, you still have the weekend to do it!
I’ll let you know when I switch it over, and you’ll find it written in the shop, as well.
Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who’s already bought a print—or more than one!
I’m so happy to be a part of decorating your homes, and I’m really, really grateful to be able to give this money away with all of your help.
P.S. Did that virtual hug get to you yet? I hope so. 💛
