A photo and video product shoot in Paris for a company that makes photography and videography gear? Sign me up!

I loved getting to create photo and video for iOgrapher in a way that so closely reflected how their customers might really use their products in Paris. The shoot felt very true to life, and both the model and I had a lot of fun with the gear.

Shooting the iOgrapher Multi Case in Paris

I worked with model Faustine to show off iOgrapher’s patented stabilizing videography case for iPhones. It was my very first time using a case like this, and in addition to loving the shoot and the resulting photos and video, I also really liked the case itself.

(As we were shooting the photos and video, multiple people walking by asked Faustine and me whether we were YouTubers. And honestly, the case itself made it seem like a doable thing! But where would I find the time?)

The Location

We wanted a beautiful and typically Parisian location for this lifestyle product shoot. Since iOgrapher wanted both photography and video clips for an upcoming campaign, I thought: why not tell the story of someone exploring a beautiful corner of Paris, and filming their journey as they go?

I packed up all the products and my gear and met Faustine at Place du Trocadéro just after dawn. Trocadéro is one of my favorite places to take photos in Paris—the view of the Eiffel Tower is amazing, and the light is always great in the early morning. We got some beautiful shots of her filming there with the iOgrapher gear. Then we traced one of my favorite scenic walks, down across the Seine and to the Bir-Hakeim bridge. We finished the shoot with a metro ride with a view.

I was really happy with the results, and I can’t wait to share more of the video footage we shot in Paris as iOgrapher publishes it! They requested clips that their team could edit and cut together as they chose, so I’m excited to see what they do with it.

For this tweet, iOgrapher color graded and added music and text to a short clip from my footage.
