This proposal shoot with Jennifer and Yannick surprised even me!

It was one of my favorite photo shoots of 2019, and you’ll soon see why.

Let’s set the stage for this shoot:

It’s December in Paris. It’s cold. France’s citywide (and countrywide) transportation strikes are in full force, and the traffic is crazy. Jennifer and Yannick’s trip into Paris last night got delayed, and they’re tired.

It is, I kid you not, Friday the 13th.

But! Friday the 13th is actually a special day for this couple—they met on a different Friday the 13th! And they’re excited to have a romantic photo shoot in Paris.

Here’s how the shoot went:

Jennifer had gotten in touch with me to arrange this short and sweet mini session with her boyfriend in front of the Eiffel Tower. But unbeknownst to either of us, when her boyfriend Yannick agreed to the plan, he had something a little different in mind.

Yannick thought “this is going to be my moment.” And he showed up to our photo session with… well, let’s call it a prop, shall we? You’ll see!
