L’Été des portraits is a huge biennial outdoor portrait photography exhibition in France (whew! deep breath!) in a tiny town called Bourbon-Lancy.
Huge, as in ~360 photographers’ work on display; photographers from all over France, plus more from around Europe, plus a small smattering from elsewhere in the world. Huge, as in it took hours and hours to look at everyone’s work, and by the time we found my photo in the exhibition it was nearly evening.
1,295 portraits on display, in a town with a population of approximately 5,000 people!
